The 2024 Tage Erlander visiting professorship has been awarded Daniel Phillips, professor in physics and astronomy at Ohio University, USA. Daniel will be hosted at Chalmers University of Technology.
The Tage Erlander visiting professorship is awarded to an internationally prominent researcher in natural and engineering sciences. The researcher nominated for the 2024 visiting professorship had to be active within one or several of the following areas: materials science, materials engineering, applied physics, engineering physics, astronomy, subatomic physics, light and materials physics.
Daniel Phillips is an expert in Effective Field Theories for low-energy nuclear physics. He will be a visiting professor in the Theoretical Subatomic Physics group at the Department of Physics, Chalmers for the spring semester 2024.
